Dr. med. Gerald Walder
Physician, author and medical reviewer of every verdavita formula. A physician who spent decades answering the same question from patients over 50: which supplements are actually worth taking, in what amount, and which are just marketing?

verdavita started with a question, not with a product
In practice, Dr. Walder kept seeing the same pattern: people over 50 with one or two concerns that really bothered them, taking a drawer full of supplements that addressed none of them properly. Forty-ingredient multivitamins at trace doses. Proprietary blends that hid the numbers. Labels written by marketers.
He answered the question first on paper, in three books on dietary supplements and how micronutrients and botanicals work in the body. Then he did what a book cannot: he reviewed every formula himself, line by line. One concern per formula, three to six actives in the amounts used in the published research, and every milligram printed on the label.
Three books on what supplements can and cannot do
Written in German for a European readership, they form the knowledge base every verdavita formula is built on.

“After thirty years in medicine I have no patience left for supplements that hide behind proprietary blends. If I cannot defend every line of the label in front of a patient, it does not go into the bottle.”

How a verdavita capsule is made, from the field to the sealed bottle
Seven steps, each of them documented, because “natural” on its own says nothing about what is in a capsule.
Choosing the growing partner
Every botanical comes from an audited grower or extraction partner with full documentation of origin and harvest.
Harvesting at the right moment
Active content in plants varies with season and maturity. Our partners harvest when the documented actives peak.
Incoming inspection of the raw material
Identity, active content and contaminants are checked before a single capsule is made.
Gentle processing and extraction
Standardized extracts where the research used them, simple powders where they are enough.
Testing the finished batch
An independent laboratory tests purity, content, heavy metals and microbiology. The certificate is available on request.
Filling in an FDA-registered facility
Manufactured and bottled in the United States under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Retention samples and batch traceability
Every lot number can be traced back to its raw materials and its lab report.
What we test, and why each test earns its place
Identity of the raw material
Is it really the plant and the part of the plant on the label?
Active content
Does the extract contain the standardized amount of actives?
Heavy metals
Lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic, below the strict limits.
Pesticide residues
Screened against a broad panel of agricultural residues.
Microbiological load
Bacteria, yeast and mold, so the bottle stays safe to the last capsule.
The rules we formulate by
Few actives, in a dose that does something
Three to six ingredients per formula, in the amounts the research used. Nothing added for the label.
Standardized extracts where they earn their place
When the studies used a standardized extract, so do we. When a simple powder is enough, we do not pay for marketing.
No filler marketing
No fairy dusting: an ingredient at a trace dose just to print its name is not in our bottles.
No proprietary blend without amounts
If you cannot read the milligrams, you cannot compare. Every amount is printed.
Where each part of the work actually happens
Dr. med. Gerald Walder
Ingredient selection, dosing and the label text, reviewed against the current research.
Manufacturing and filling
FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facility. Independent lab testing of every batch.
